Kombucha shrubs are made with home brew kombucha that has fermented for at least 2 weeks. By adding a few ingredients to the over brewed kombucha you can create your own delicious tincture that takes your beverages to the next level and makes your tummy happy.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 tsp fresh chopped mint
- 1 cup organic cane sugar
- 1 cup strong kombucha
Directions: muddle fruit and sugar and pour kombucha on top. Shake once a day for 1 week. Strain fruit and return liquid to a jar or bottle and let shrub continue to ferment for 8 weeks at room temperature. Your shrub is now ready to be added to the alcohol, juice or tea of your choice. Store in your refrigerator.
