Pomegranate Ginger Kombucha

We love flavoring kombucha with ginger.  It is something we regularly keep in our refrigerator and adding just a little to kombucha can make a big different in flavor and carbonation. Since we prefer to use seasonal fruit, over the holidays we decided to add some pomegranate seeds and wow was it delicious!

Ginger is known to reduce nausea, pain & inflammation. Pomegranates are a super antioxidant more powerful than other well known superfoods like acai and berries. They are high in vitamin K which helps support bone health as well as vitamin B5 which helps the body metabolize protein, carbohydrates and fat. Together the two create a tangy, refreshing flavor that we crave. 

YEABUCHA's recipe for making pomegranate ginger kombucha.

You can use a whole pomegranate and remove all the seeds, or pick up a bag of organic seeds from the freezer section at the grocery store (this is typically our go to for convenience). 

2 tbsp pomegranate seeds

1 tbsp chopped ginger

Add ingredients to the bottom of glass bottle. Pour fresh brewed kombucha over the top. Fill to the very top and tightly secure with lid. Place bottle in closed, dark cabinet for 2-4 days depending on ideal taste.
